Buoyancy Formulas

Archimedes' Principle: The buoyant force on an object equals the weight of the fluid displaced by the object.

Buoyant Force: Fb = rho_fluid * V_displaced * g
Object Weight: W = m * g = rho_object * V * g
Floats when: rho_object < rho_fluid
Submerged Fraction (floating): V_sub/V_total = rho_object/rho_fluid
Apparent Weight: W_apparent = W - Fb
